Mars Bar

This recent loss to the East Village is hitting hard for punks and outcasts who have been hanging out here for years.

CBGBs

CBGB's crowd moved to Mars when this spot closed a few years ago. The historic testament to underground music was a huge loss.

Rodeo Bar

This bar is still around, but the days of cool rockabilly shows have been replaced by plain ol' country.

Senor Swanky's

This Upper West Side Mexican locale may not have seemed like anything special, but the cheap drink nights made it a student favorite.

King Tut's Wah-Wah Hut

This one goes way back: closed in the 80s, the now-defunct bar lives on with a replica in Glasgow.
