Liver

Chicken or turkey liver, boiled / baked. Cook a few up at a time and store extra in the fridge.

Eggs

Scrambled eggs. If you feed this to your dog often, you may need to consider using part/all egg whites.

Low-fat Cottage Cheese

It doesn't look too appetizing mixed into dry dog food, but it is a good lean protein.

Chicken

Leftover scraps from cooked chicken - BUT don't give your dog anything with sauces on it or bones in it.

"Treats" - Fatty Proteins

Chedder cheese, bacon grease, chicken skin, or other high fat proteins can be used as "inticers" or treats, but use sparingly

"My elderly dog has become extremely picky with her food, so these are some of the lean proteins that we have been feeding her."
